Occupied Jerusalem, Aug. 26 (SANA) The toll from the Israeli war of genocide on the Gaza Strip has risen to 73,438 Palestinians killed and 174,447 wounded since Oct. 7, 2023, the Palestinian Health Ministry said Wednesday in a statement posted on Telegram.

The ministry said Gaza hospitals received seven dead Palestinians and 10 wounded people over the previous 24 hours.

Of the seven dead, five were newly recorded fatalities, while two died from wounds sustained earlier, according to the ministry.

The ministry said the total number of Palestinians killed since the ceasefire took effect on Oct. 10 had reached 1,303, with 4,336 others wounded.

It said a number of victims remain under rubble and on roads, while ambulance and civil defense crews are still unable to reach them.

The Israeli war of on the Gaza Strip has caused a humanitarian catastrophe amid widespread destruction of homes and infrastructure and the collapse of essential services.

The humanitarian situation continues to deteriorate as the Israeli occupation prevents the entry of relief supplies and materials needed for reconstruction, despite provisions in the ceasefire agreement allowing their unrestricted entry.
