Beirut, May 14 (SANA) Israeli airstrikes targeted several areas in southern Lebanon on Wednesday, wounding one person and causing extensive damage to civilian property and infrastructure.
Lebanon’s National News Agency (NNA) reported that Israeli warplanes struck the area between the towns of Brachit and Shaqra in the Bint Jbeil district, as well as Majdal Zoun and the Deir Aamess area in the Tyre district.
Additional strikes targeted two vehicles along the Jiyeh highway in the Chouf district, another vehicle near the al-Shaityeh junction toward al-Maaliyeh in Tyre district, and a separate vehicle on the Naqoura road near the Relax Hotel.
The attacks resulted in at least one injury, according to Lebanese media reports.
Israeli forces also carried out demolition operations in the town of Khiam while opening heavy machine-gun fire inside the area.
The latest escalation follows Israeli strikes a day earlier that killed seven people, including a Syrian national, in towns across southern Lebanon.
Lebanon’s Health Ministry said the death toll from ongoing Israeli attacks since March 2 has risen to 2,882, with 8,768 others wounded.
