UN Calls for International Cooperation to Ensure Ceasefire Compliance in Gaza

Jeremy Laurence, spokesperson for the United Nations High Commissioner for Human Rights, urged the international community to intensify its efforts and cooperation to ensure the effective implementation of the ceasefire in the Gaza Strip.

In a statement to Anadolu Agency, Laurence emphasized that “the Gaza Strip is entering a critical phase, requiring all parties to take responsibility and ensure that this political momentum translates into lasting peace and security.” He highlighted the importance of countries working together to ensure the agreement’s successful implementation.

This statement comes as Israeli forces continue to violate the ceasefire, which took effect on the 10th of October. Since then, Israeli forces have launched numerous attacks on Palestinian civilians, resulting in dozens of casualties.
