Doha, May 10 (SANA) Qatari Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman bin Jassim Al Thani discussed regional developments and mediation efforts aimed at reducing U.S.- Iranian tensions during a phone call with Pakistani Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif.
According to the Qatar News Agency (QNA), the two leaders reviewed ways to strengthen bilateral cooperation and exchanged views on the latest developments in the region, particularly diplomatic efforts led by Pakistan to support regional security and stability.
Sheikh Mohammed praised Pakistan’s mediation efforts, alongside those of other regional parties, which contributed to securing a ceasefire between the United States and Iran.
He also reaffirmed Qatar’s support for diplomatic initiatives aimed at resolving the crisis through peaceful means and stressed the importance of cooperation from all parties to advance negotiations and achieve a comprehensive agreement that promotes lasting peace and stability in the region.
The talks came days after a previous discussion between the two leaders on regional developments and efforts to maintain stability amid escalating tensions in the Middle East.
