Beijing, April 14 (SANA) Chinese President Xi Jinping and Abu Dhabi Crown Prince Sheikh Khaled bin Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan on Tuesday discussed regional and international developments, stressing the importance of strengthening stability and advancing efforts toward peaceful conflict resolution.

According to the Emirates News Agency (WAM), the two sides reviewed regional and global challenges during their meeting in Beijing and emphasized the need to enhance international coordination to address them, aimed at supporting global peace and security.

The talks also focused on expanding the comprehensive strategic partnership between the two countries, with an emphasis on boosting economic and investment cooperation to achieve sustainable and balanced growth serving mutual interests.

Xi expressed appreciation for the level of bilateral relations, noting their continued development across various fields.

On regional developments, Xi warned against the selective application of international law, saying it should not be applied based on interests, and cautioned against a return to what he described as “jungle law” in international relations. He also stressed the importance of fully respecting the sovereignty, security and territorial integrity of Middle Eastern countries. On Monday, Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi said on Monday that the ceasefire between the United States and Iran remains “extremely fragile,” calling on the international community to take a firm stance against actions that could undermine de-escalation or escalate tensions.
