Beirut, April 12 (SANA) Israeli airstrikes targeted several towns in southern Lebanon on Sunday, killing a number of people and wounding others, according to Lebanon’s National News Agency.
The agency said strikes hit the al-Khashna area in the town of Qana, killing five people and injuring others.
Warplanes also carried out dawn raids on Aitit, al-Samaaiyah, Mharouneh, the al-Jallahiya area in Khiam, and Maarka, where three people were reported injured.
Additional overnight strikes targeted the towns of Kounine and Baflai, while the town of Mansouri in the Tyre district came under artillery shelling, the agency added.
The attacks come despite a Washington–Tehran ceasefire agreement reached two weeks ago, and amid international calls to extend the ceasefire to Lebanon.
