Islamabad, April 12 (SANA) Pakistan’s Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar on Sunday urged the United States and Iran to continue adhering to a ceasefire after talks in Islamabad ended without an agreement.
Dar said, in remarks cited by Agence France-Presse, that “it is essential that both sides maintain their commitment to the ceasefire,” adding that Pakistan will continue efforts in the coming days to encourage renewed dialogue between Washington and Tehran.
His comments came after U.S.–Iran negotiations in Islamabad aimed at preventing further escalation in the Middle East concluded without a breakthrough.
Earlier, U.S. Vice President JD Vance said the talks with Iran held in Islamabad on Saturday had ended without agreement and that the U.S. delegation had departed Pakistan.
