Beirut, March 17 (SANA) – Lebanon’s Ministry of Public Health said Tuesday that the death toll from ongoing Israeli attacks on Lebanon since the beginning of the month has risen to 912 people, with 2,221 others injured.
According to the ministry’s emergency operations center, the number of children killed has reached 111, while 334 children have been injured, the Lebanese National News Agency reported.
The latest figures mark an increase from previous data released a day earlier, which reported 886 deaths and more than 2,000 injuries, reflecting the continued intensity of the attacks.
Israeli airstrikes and artillery shelling have targeted multiple neighborhoods across southern Lebanon and other areas, causing widespread destruction to residential neighborhoods and infrastructure, and forcing many civilians to flee their homes.
The escalation comes amid broader regional tensions linked to the ongoing U.S.-Israeli war against Iran, raising concerns about further deterioration of the security situation in Lebanon and the risk of a wider regional conflict.
