Abu Dhabi, April 3 (SANA) The government of the Emirate of Abu Dhabi announced on Friday the suspension of operations at the Habshan gas facilities after authorities responded to a fire caused by debris.
The Abu Dhabi Media Office said on X that authorities were managing “an incident at the Habshan gas facilities following a successful air defense interception.” The statement added that operations at the facilities were temporarily halted while emergency teams worked to contain the fire, with no injuries reported.
Officials urged the public to rely only on verified sources and to avoid spreading unconfirmed information.
In a related statement, authorities said they were handling another incident caused by debris in the Ajban area, also following a successful air defense interception.
Earlier in the day, the UAE Ministry of Defense reported that its air defense systems had responded to missile and drone attacks originating from Iran.
The incidents come amid the ongoing U.S.-Israeli-Iranian military conflict, during which Iran has carried out missile and drone strikes targeting several Arab countries, including the UAE. The attacks have caused casualties and damaged infrastructure.
