Beirut, March 4 (SANA) Several people were killed and others wounded as Israeli airstrikes hit multiple areas in Lebanon late Tuesday night and early Wednesday, state media reported.
Early Wednesday, an airstrike hit a residential complex in Baalbek, killing six and wounding 15. Civil defense teams were searching for two missing residents and assessing the fate of ground-floor occupants, according to the Lebanese National News Agency.
In southern Beirut, Israeli strikes hit an apartment in Aramoun and a residential complex in Saadiyat, with initial reports indicating six fatalities and eight injuries.
In the Tyre District, local sources reported that several people were wounded in airstrikes on the towns of Shakra and Jumajimah.
Israeli strikes also targeted a hotel in Hazmieh in the southern suburbs of Beirut, as well as towns in southern Lebanon including Sarifa, Tairi and Kounin.
The death toll from Israeli airstrikes between early Monday and Tuesday evening has risen to 50, with 335 wounded, according to the Lebanese Ministry of Public Health.
