Riyadh, April 20 (SANA) Saudi Crown Prince, Mohammed bin Salman, spoke by phone with Chinese President Xi Jinping, on Monday to discuss regional developments.

According to the Saudi Press Agency (SPA), the two sides reviewed the current situation and its security and economic repercussions at both regional and international levels.

They also addressed ongoing efforts aimed at de-escalation and strengthening security and stability, particularly with regard to maritime navigation and its economic implications, as well as its impact on vital global supplies.

For his part, the Chinese President stressed the importance of keeping the Strait of Hormuz open to international navigation, in a manner that serves the interests of regional countries and the global community, while reinforcing long-term stability.

Developments in the Strait of Hormuz are entering a highly sensitive phase amid escalating Iranian measures related to maritime navigation, alongside the continuation of a US-imposed maritime blockade targeting Iranian ports.
