Türkiye rejects claims it received U.S. orders to strike Iran

Ankara, March 4 (SANA) Türkiye’s Anti-Disinformation Center, affiliated with the Presidency’s Directorate of Communications, said Wednesday that claims circulating on social media that U.S. President Donald Trump had instructed Ankara to launch military action against Iran were false.

The Presidency said reports suggesting Turkish involvement in a covert military plan against Iran, or claims that Ankara sought relief from CAATSA sanctions in exchange for participating in hostilities, were entirely unfounded.

The statement said Türkiye exercises full sovereignty over its foreign and security policies and does not act on directives from external actors.

It added that Türkiye would not initiate military operations against Iran under any circumstances.
