Doha, March 4 (SANA) Qatari authorities have arrested 10 individuals linked to two cells working for Iran’s Revolutionary Guard as part of ongoing national security operations.
According to a statement by the State Security Service on Wednesday, seven suspects were involved in espionage targeting sensitive military sites, while three had been trained to carry out sabotage missions using drones.
Authorities said they recovered coordinates of sensitive facilities and communication equipment, adding that the suspects admitted involvement in espionage and sabotage activities.
Qatar has previously played a role in facilitating U.S.-Iran nuclear talks as part of its diplomatic efforts to ease tensions in the region.
