Tehran, March 2 (SANA) Iran’s Red Crescent said 555 people had been killed across the country since Saturday as U.S. and Israeli forces continued a wave of strikes targeting multiple locations.
A statement carried by Turkey’s Anadolu Agency said the attacks had struck 131 residential areas nationwide, resulting in the reported deaths. The Red Crescent did not provide figures for the number of wounded.
The United States and Israel have used air-, land- and sea-launched precision missiles and munitions in the operation.
Tensions have escalated sharply, with Iran launching missile attacks on Israel and strikes that hit Gulf states, Jordan and Erbil in northern Iraq, causing civilian casualties and property damage.
