Occupied Jerusalem, March 2 (SANA) Israeli forces carried out a series of pre-dawn raids across several areas of the West Bank, arresting 44 Palestinians, according to the Palestinian news agency WAFA.
The raids targeted neighborhoods in Qalqilya, Al-Bireh and Hebron, as well as the towns of Yatta, Idhna and Beit Ummar near Hebron. Forces also entered the villages of Deir Abu Mash’al, Aboud, Kafr Malik, Ein Misbah and Kobar in the Ramallah area.
In addition, troops raided the Shweika and Thinnaba neighborhoods in Tulkarm, the Old and New Askar refugee camps and the Old City of Nablus, along with the villages of Iraq Burin, Urif and Deir Sharaf. The detainees included children.
Israeli forces also seized several homes in Hebron, converting them into military outposts, and closed a number of main and secondary roads in the city and surrounding towns.
On Sunday, Israeli forces arrested 13 Palestinians in Qalqilya, WAFA reported.
