Occupied Jerusalem, Feb. 28 (SANA) – The Israeli occupation forces claimed that several senior Iranian officials were killed during strikes targeting sites inside Iran, including Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps commander Mohammad Pakpour, Defense Minister Amir Nasirzadeh, and Defense Council Secretary Ali Shamkhani.
According to an Israeli military spokesperson, the strikes targeted a fortified facility said to host Iranian commanders, adding that Israeli aircraft carried out extensive air raids during the operation.
The spokesperson said coordination with the United States was ongoing, warning of continued military escalation in the coming period.
The developments follow joint US-Israeli attacks earlier Saturday targeting multiple locations in Iran, while Tehran responded by launching ballistic missiles and drones toward targets inside Israel and several Gulf countries.
