Ankara, Feb. 28 (SANA) – Head of Communications at the Turkish Presidency Burhanettin Duran called for de-escalation and renewed diplomatic engagement amid rising regional tensions following recent US and Israeli strikes on Iran.
In a statement Saturday, Duran warned that the escalation threatens regional stability and civilian security beyond the directly involved parties, describing the situation as a serious risk to international peace.
He said Türkiye is closely monitoring developments and taking measures to ensure the safety of its citizens, reaffirming Ankara’s support for solutions based on international law.
Duran urged the rapid reactivation of dialogue and negotiation channels and stressed efforts to counter provocations and misinformation during the current crisis.
The remarks came after Iranian missile attacks targeted several Arab countries earlier Saturday following joint US-Israeli strikes on Iranian territory.
