Occupied Jerusalem, Feb. 16 (SANA) A Palestinian was killed on Monday in Israeli shelling east of Gaza City, according to the Palestinian news agency WAFA.
WAFA reported that Israeli artillery struck the Shuja’iyya neighborhood, killing one person.
Israeli forces also shelled areas east of Khan Younis and central Rafah in the southern Gaza Strip. Military vehicles opened heavy fire toward the Jabalia refugee camp in northern Gaza, while Israeli naval vessels fired offshore near Gaza City.
On Sunday, four Palestinians were killed by Israeli shelling in Beit Lahia in the northern Gaza Strip.
Since Oct. 7, 2023, the war on Gaza has resulted in more than 243,000 Palestinians being killed or wounded, according to Palestinian authorities, along with widespread destruction across the territory.
