Egyptian Foreign Minister Badr Abdel Aaty and Qatari Foreign Minister Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman Al Thani agreed on Sunday to maintain full coordination between Cairo and Doha to strengthen the Gaza ceasefire.
During a phone call, the two ministers emphasized the importance of linking the West Bank and Gaza Strip to preserve the unity of Palestinian territories.
The talks were part of ongoing Egyptian-Qatari efforts, in cooperation with the United Nations, to sustain the truce despite continued Israeli violations.
Since the ceasefire took effect on October 10, Egypt and Qatar have taken the lead in efforts to maintain the truce and ensure Israeli compliance.
