World Protests in Solidarity with Gaza

Thousands of protesters gathered in several European countries and Australia Sunday in solidarity with the Palestinian people, demanding that the Israeli government be punished for its crimes in Gaza Strip.

London, Seoul, Indonesia, Berlin, Italy, Paris, Norway, Netherlands and Stockholm witnessed large gathering of protestors who raised Palestinian flags.

Palestine Action Group in Australia said that, demonstrations took place in 27 cities and towns across Australia in support of the Palestinian people, which were concentrated in Sydney, Melbourne, and Brisbane, calling for sanctions against the Israel for the massacres it committed in Gaza.

The demonstrators also called on the Australian government to halt all forms of cooperation with Israel and to stop arms exports.

In Indonesia, thousands of people gathered in central Jakarta to express their solidarity with Palestinians in Gaza and the West Bank, while demonstrators marched in Seoul, to demand rapid delivery of humanitarian aid to Gaza Strip.

These demonstrations come a day after marches and sit-ins in several countries. A massive demonstration took place in London in support of Gaza and to demand an end to arms sales to Israel and an end to the occupation of Palestinian territories.

In German capital, Berlin, thousands demonstrated in solidarity with the Palestinian people and demanded practical steps to ensure a just and lasting peace. They called on the German government to halt arms shipments to Israel.

A demonstration also took place in the French capital, Paris, in support of the ceasefire in Gaza, demanding the lifting of the blockade and the entry of relief and medical aid into the Strip.

In Milan, Italy, and Oslo, Norway, Demonstrations took place in solidarity with Gaza. Participants called on the international community and Western governments to make every effort to achieve peace in Gaza and rebuild the territory.

In the Netherlands, a memorial service was held in Maastricht for the victims of the Israeli aggression on Gaza.

The Swedish capital, Stockholm, also witnessed a demonstration to condemn the Israeli forces’ attack on the Global Steadfastness Flotilla and the Freedom Flotilla Coalition. Protesters called for a comprehensive embargo on Israel due to its attacks on the two flotillas.

A ceasefire agreement in Gaza Strip took effect in Gaza Strip on Friday, after more than two years of Israeli aggression and genocide that resulted in the deaths of more than 67,000 Palestinians and about 170,000 wounded, most of them children and women.
