Minister of Social Affairs and Labor Hind Kabawat joined world leaders Friday at a high-level UN General Assembly meeting marking the 30th anniversary of the World Programme of Action for Youth (WPAY).
Kabawat said she is carrying “the voices and aspirations of Syrian youth” from every Syrian province.

“Despite their diverse cultural, ethnic, and religious backgrounds, their aspirations are the same: dignity, justice, and the opportunity to build a meaningful future,” Kabawat added.
Minister Kabawat stressed that the dialogue was not just symbolic for Syria, but “a reminder that even through hardship, the resilience of our youth laid the way forward.” She noted that justice means giving young people “a chance to heal, to learn, to work, and to lead.”
Kabawat concluded by praising the determination of Syrian youth both at home and abroad, saying they are “turning struggle into strength” and gaining the skills needed “to one day rebuild our nation.”
