New York, SANA – The UN agency for Palestinian refugees (UNRWA) warned that the escalation of the Israeli aggression on Gaza Strip will pose the risk of new forced displacement for nearly one million Palestinians amid widespread famine, blockade and scarce resources.
“Ongoing bombardments and displacement orders are forcing thousand of families to abandon their homes, once again, amid fear and destruction,” UNRWA said in a statement on X platform.
The agency called on the international community to urgently and immediately intervene for ending the escalation and lifting the blockade, which is exacerbating the humanitarian crisis in the Gaza Strip.
