Damascus, SANA- Ministry of Health announced Wednesday the implementation of the National Cochlear Implant and Aural Rehabilitation Program for Children, in cooperation with the al-Ameen Organization for Humanitarian Support.
The Ministry clarified via its Telegram channel that the project targets one thousand children with hearing impairment during the current year, to enable them to regain their hearing ability and improve their quality of life.
The Ministry noted that the registration requirements include submitting all medical documents and necessary reports to assess the condition, adding that the child’s age should fall within the target group according to global standards, and the child should be eligible for free treatment, and not have benefited from similar programs previously.
