Damascus, June 17 (SANA) Syria’s Ministry of Health said its Digital Health Portal recorded more than 118,000 visits and over 2,100 online appointment bookings during its first two months of operation, as authorities expand digital healthcare services across the country.

Statistics released by the ministry showed that the platform registered 118,830 visits and 2,107 booked appointments between April 2 and mid-June, while 114,300 patients enrolled in the system.

The portal was launched as part of the ministry’s broader digital transformation strategy aimed at improving access to healthcare services and streamlining patient management through online appointment scheduling and electronic health records.

Users can access medical histories, laboratory results and previous appointments through the platform, which is designed to reduce administrative burdens and improve service delivery.

The Ministry of Health said the service is being gradually expanded to include additional hospitals and healthcare centers across Syria, with the goal of making medical services more accessible and reducing the time and effort required for patients to obtain care.

Since its launch in April, the platform has been serving more than 800 patients daily through 33 specialized clinics, including pediatric, orthopedic, neurological and mental health services.

The Digital Health Portal currently operates at Damascus Hospital, Ibn al-Nafees Hospital in Damascus, Ibn al-Walid Hospital in Homs, Hama National Hospital and Tartous Maternity Hospital. The ministry said further expansion is planned to bring additional healthcare institutions onto the system in the coming months.
