Damascus, May 27 (SANA) Syria’s Health Ministry has raised the level of maximum readiness across health and ambulance facilities nationwide as part of an emergency plan for the Eid al-Adha holiday, activating 145 ambulance points to ensure rapid medical response.
Head of the Ambulance Department at the Health Ministry, Dr. Ahmad al-Bakour, told SANA on Tuesday that ambulances would be deployed throughout the holiday period at gathering areas and Eid prayer sites to provide immediate medical services and enhance public safety.
Al-Bakour said citizens can request emergency assistance through the unified emergency number 110 in all governorates.
He also stressed the importance of adhering to traffic safety regulations while driving cars and motorcycles and urged motorists to give priority to ambulances on the roads.
The measure comes within the framework of the ministry’s annual strategy to strengthen emergency medical services during public occasions and ensure rapid and effective healthcare response.
