Damascus, March 6 (SANA) Syrian Health Minister Musab al-Ali met with Raqqa Governor Abdulrahman Salama to discuss the state of healthcare services in the governorate and measures to improve medical care and strengthen the preparedness of health facilities.
According to a statement on the ministry’s Telegram channel, the meeting reviewed challenges facing Raqqa’s healthcare sector, including the needs of hospitals and health centers.
Al-Ali said hospitals and laboratories in Raqqa will be supplied with modern medical equipment in the coming period to enhance their ability to meet citizens’ needs. Both sides emphasized the importance of coordination between the ministry and Raqqa Governorate to improve healthcare services across the region.

Raqqa’s healthcare sector suffered significant damage in recent years, leaving several hospitals and health centers out of service. Authorities are working to rehabilitate facilities and gradually restore them to full operation.
