Damascus, Feb. 19 (SANA) Al-Shaddadi National Hospital in Syria’s northeastern Hasakah province has resumed full operations and begun receiving patients following the completion of an operational plan, the Health Ministry said.
According to a ministry statement posted on Telegram, the hospital has organized round-the-clock shifts for medical, nursing and technical staff to ensure continuous service. On its first day back in full operation, the emergency and ambulance units, pharmacy, gynecology clinic and maternity ward were opened.
Medical teams treated emergency cases including traffic accident injuries and gunshot wounds, providing first aid before transferring some patients to specialized centers for further treatment, the ministry said.
Officials added that the hospital is currently operating within its existing capacity while awaiting the arrival of additional doctors. Resident physicians are expected to join in the coming days to reinforce medical teams.
Earlier this month, the ministry supplied the hospital with three ambulances and four dialysis machines as part of efforts to strengthen healthcare services in the eastern region.
