Participants at the meeting, held at the ministry’s headquarters, reviewed studies and programs related to the construction of hospitals and the restoration of damaged ones, identifying the medical equipment needed by healthcare facilities, in addition to the ongoing preparations for a visit by a delegation of French companies to Damascus on October 1.

Minister al-Ali emphasized the importance of initiating practical steps to rebuild and restore damaged hospitals and develop the healthcare infrastructure, highlighting the role that the French company “Ellipse” and its expertise in the healthcare sector can play in supporting Syria.

The CEO of Ellipse, Olivier Picard, noted the importance of sending a specialized delegation to Syria next week to study the situation of hospitals and develop a plan to rebuild them according to priorities, stressing the importance of developing a shared vision for implementing health projects.

This meeting comes within the framework of efforts to enhance Syrian-French cooperation in the health sector, attract foreign investments that will contribute to developing Syria’s health sector, and rehabilitate its infrastructure.
