Damascus, SANA – Health minister Dr. Musab al-Ali and UNOPS Director General Mohammed Osman Akram discussed on Monday ways of enhancing joint health cooperation and supporting health facilities in Syria
The two sides discussed mechanisms of supporting Syria’s health sector and rehabilitating and restoring hospital infrastructure.
Al-Ali highlighted the significant shortage of equipment, particularly Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI). He commended the office’s efforts and the support it provides in renovating and rehabilitating healthcare facilities, which contributes to improving the medical services provided to patients.
For his part, Akram stated the office’s efforts to provide the necessary support to sustain health sector in Syria. He noted that renovation and rehabilitation work had been completed on several departments at the Grand Homs Hospital to ensure the provision of quality health services to citizens.
