Minister of Interior inspects prisons in Idleb province‎

Idleb, SANA‎- Interior Minister Anas Khattab inspected Sunday a number of prisons in Idleb province, as part of the ministry follow up on the conditions of prisoners and their needs.‎

‎The Minister accompanied by commander of internal security in Idleb, Brigadier General Ghassan Bakir, and the director of the Prisons Department, Brigadier General Ziad Abu Ras, listened to the complaints of a number of inmates, and their living and health conditions, the ministry said in a statement on its telegram channel.‎

Minister Khattab stressed that imprisonment is a means of restricting freedom, not of violating human dignity, expressing the ministry’s commitment to improving conditions inside prisons to guarantee the rights of inmates.
