Deir Ezzor, SANA

The activities of the “Deir Al-Ezz” campaign were launched On Thursday evening, from the municipal stadium in the city of Deir Ezzor, aiming to support reconstruction projects and improve the service situation in the province, amid a wide official and popular presence and integrated organization.

Comprehensive Support for Infrastructure and Services

The campaign focuses on funding projects to rehabilitate damaged infrastructure, support the health and education sectors, and enhance food and housing security through multiple donation channels, including field funds, money transfers, and bank accounts.

Minister of Information Hamza al-Mustafa affirmed that Deir Ezzor province and the Syrian Jazira will not remain marginalized, noting that the destruction is temporary, and that reconstruction is coming thanks to the efforts of the people of the country.

Culture Minister Mohammed al-Saleh emphasized that Deir Ezzor residents embodied national belonging through their steadfastness, and that culture is inseparable from development.

Health Minister Musab al-Ali pointed to the significant deterioration in the health sector, affirming the ministry’s commitment to rebuilding hospitals.

A New Phase of National Cohesion

Deir Ezzor Governor Ghassan Sayed Ahmed described the campaign as the beginning of a new phase of community work, noting that more than 20 neighborhoods in the city were destroyed by between 60 and 100 percent, making reconstruction an urgent priority.

Presidential advisor Ahmed Zeidan emphasized that the sacrifices of the region’s people were the foundation of victory, and that the current phase focuses on reconstruction.

In the same context, Director of Education Ali Al-Saleh clarified that the education sector has suffered widespread destruction, with more than 440 schools in need of partial or complete rehabilitation.

The “Deir al-Ezz” campaign is not just an event, but a national declaration that Deir Ezzor is rising from the ashes of destruction thanks to the will of its people; suffering is being transformed into reconstruction projects, and steadfastness into steps toward the future. From here, the new Syria begins: from the heart of Deir Ezzor, where dignity cannot be defeated.
