The Anti-Narcotics Department has arrested the sender of a drug shipment whose smuggling attempt was thwarted at the Nasib border crossing.
According to a statement by the Ministry of Interior on its Telegram channel, the Anti-Narcotics Department foiled an attempt on September 22 to smuggle a large quantity of narcotics through the crossing. The shipment had been professionally concealed inside soft drink containers.
Following a thorough investigation, the department’s personnel successfully identified the sender of the truck. He was tracked and apprehended during a raid on his residence, where large quantities of narcotics were seized, including 54 kilograms of crystal meth (known locally as “H-Boss”), 17.5 kilograms of hashish, and 43,000 Captagon pills, The ministry explained.
The ministry stated that the suspect has been referred to the competent judicial authorities for appropriate legal action, reaffirming its ongoing commitment to combating drug trafficking and protecting society from its dangerous consequences.
