Latakia, SANA- As part of “Latakia, We Are Its People” campaign, al-Harsh Park in Latakia reopened its doors to visitors Monday, following the completion of rehabilitation and maintenance work carried out by the city council in cooperation with Roya Foundation.

Head of administrative units, Ali Assi, said that rehabilitation works included everything in the park in order to ensure a safe and comfortable environment for visitors, while Roya’s Alma Dalati noted the park offers a unique natural experience with sweeping sea views tailored to the needs of children and families.

Latakia district director Omar Khallo recalled that the park, once a popular gathering place, had been converted into a military zone in past years. Its reopening, he said, reflects joint efforts by local authorities and community partners to return the landmark to public life.
