Minister of Higher Education denies any tension within university campuses

Damascus, SANA- Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, Dr. Marwan Al-Halabi, affirmed that the situation inside student housing is proceeding normally and calmly, denying recent video clips circulating on social media depicting scenes of tension within university campuses, saying that these clips are old and do not reflect the current situation.

“Relations among students within university campuses are characterized by an atmosphere of understanding and civil harmony, with all sides committed to maintaining stability and mutual respect, avoiding any attempts to sow discord or division among the student community,” the Minister said in a statement on Thursday.

Halabi called on media outlets and social media platforms to verify the accuracy of information before publishing it, and to refrain from circulating old clips.

He emphasized that any rumors being spread would create unjustified confusion among students.
