Amman, May 3 (SANA) A joint dialogue session was conducted on Sunday as part of the Syrian-Jordanian Dialogue Forum in the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan, focusing on the advancement of higher education, with support from the German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD).
The meeting convened a delegation from the Syrian Ministry of Higher Education alongside a counterpart delegation from Jordan, aiming to explore mechanisms for bolstering academic and research collaboration between the two nations.
Marwan al-Halabi, Syria’s Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, emphasized that fostering academic innovation in Syria constitutes a strategic path grounded in evidence and needs assessment, alongside strengthening international partnerships.
He articulated that enhancing higher education is a national priority essential for shaping a future based on evidence, competence, and collaboration.
Participants at the meeting discussed strategies for exchanging educational and research expertise, focusing on improving the quality of higher education and promoting academic partnerships between institutions in Syria and Jordan.
The importance of these initiatives was highlighted as a means to strengthen cultural and scientific ties, facilitating knowledge exchange that contributes to the development of the higher education systems in both countries.
