Damascus, March. 4 (SANA) The Syrian Civil Aviation Authority announced the reopening of air corridors in the northern sector of Syrian airspace toward Türkiye and the resumption of operations at Aleppo International Airport starting 00:00 on Wednesday, March 4, 2026.
The authority said the decision comes as part of efforts to balance aviation safety and security requirements while ensuring the minimum level of air connectivity to serve citizens and facilitate travel, supplies, and vital activities.
It added that the rest of the air corridors, along with Damascus International Airport, will remain closed until further notice.
The Aviation Authority confirmed that airspace management decisions are taken solely based on civil aviation safety and security considerations and in line with international aviation standards.
