Damascus, Feb. 26 (SANA) The Director of Education in Damascus countryside, Fadi Nazhat, met on Thursday with Julio Fersura, head of the international GYE organization, to discuss ways to enhance cooperation in supporting youth and the education sector.
The meeting reviewed the current state of the education process in the province, the challenges facing schools and teaching staff, and the needs required to ensure stability in educational work and improve the learning environment.
Nazhat stressed the importance of partnerships and cooperation with supportive international organizations, noting that such collaboration contributes to developing the education process and strengthening youth-oriented initiatives in line with the Directorate’s plans and priorities within its mandate to oversee educational institutions in the province.
For his part, Fersura presented a set of proposals and programs aimed at supporting youth and expanding their educational opportunities, expressing the organization’s readiness to coordinate with the Directorate to implement joint initiatives that serve students and help advance the education sector.
