Damascus, Dec.6 (SANA) Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, Marwan al-Halabi, discussed on Tuesday with Ambassador of the United Arab Emirates to Syria, Hamad Rashid bin Alwan Al-Habsi, prospects of developing cooperation in higher education domain, as well as exchanging scholarships and visits between the two countries.
During a meeting held in Damascus, the two sides addressed issues related to enhancing scientific research, supporting digital transformation and raising academic quality standards.
They also considered the possibility of expanding scholarship exchange programs, opening new horizons for students and researchers to benefit from shared expertise, and serving the needs of educational institutions in Syria and the UAE.
Syrian–Emirati relations have witnessed notable progress in the scientific and educational fields in recent years, with both sides working to strengthen academic cooperation, deepen educational partnerships and broaden areas of collaboration in ways that positively impact the higher education sector in both countries.
