Istanbul, SANA-Aleppo Commerce Chamber Chairman, Mohammed Saeed Sheikh Al-Kar,discussed ways to enhance economic and investment cooperation between Syria and Turkey.
During a meeting with members of the Independent Businessmen and Industrialists Association (MUSIAD) in Istanbul, the two sides addressed several investment opportunities available in Syria and the advantages offered by the new investment law in Syria, which will make the investment environment more attractive in the coming period.
An agreement was also reached to facilitate the movement of businessmen and the exchange of goods between the two sides, in addition to organizing the International Business Forum (IBF) in Damascus next November.
In a statement to a SANA reporter, Sheikh al-Kar said that the meeting comes within the framework of supporting joint efforts to boost economic ties and develop the investment environment in Syria, and to emphasize the pivotal role Aleppo plays in advancing national trade and industry.
Sheikh Al-Kar stressed that Aleppo is witnessing significant interest in revitalizing its industrial sector, with extensive facilities being granted to businessmen and factory owners, including exemptions from fees and taxes for specific periods, in addition to government support for the rehabilitation of industrial zones and the provision of the necessary infrastructure to operate production facilities.
