During the meeting, the Algerian delegation presented a set of proposals, most notably the rehabilitation of the training center at the Jandal power station, development of training and qualification programs for Syrian cadres in the fields of training and maintenance, and provision of technical support in this field.

The two sides also discussed updating the coordination center for the national electricity system, in line with the significant increase in production capacity and the resulting increase in loads on the grid.

This meeting comes within the framework of boosting Arab cooperation in the energy sector and exchanging expertise between specialized institutions, contributing to supporting the Syrian government’s plans to rehabilitate and develop the electricity system.
