Istanbul, Oct. 3 (SANA) Türkiye’s goods exports rose 15.4% year on year to nearly $26 billion in September, marking the highest export value ever recorded for the month, according to official figures released Saturday.
The Turkish Trade Ministry said exports reached $25.976 billion, while imports increased 5.9% to $31.208 billion, bringing foreign trade volume to $57.185 billion.
Trade Minister Ömer Bolat said the September figure was also the second-highest monthly export value in the history of the Turkish Republic, behind the record $26.3 billion registered in December 2025.
Exports during the first nine months of 2026 increased 5.2% from a year earlier to nearly $211 billion, setting a record for the January-September period.
Bolat said annualized goods exports reached a record $283.7 billion in the 12 months through September, surpassing the government’s $282 billion 2026 Medium-Term Program target.
Annualized services exports reached a record $125.4 billion, taking combined goods and services exports to $409.1 billion, just $900 million short of the year-end target of $410 billion.
The export-to-import coverage ratio rose to 83.2% in September, while Türkiye’s foreign trade deficit declined to $17.5 billion in the third quarter from $28.5 billion in the first quarter.
Türkiye had also posted a record for the month of August, when goods exports increased 8.1% year on year to $23.5 billion.
