Damascus, Aug. 9 (SANA) More than 10,000 specialized visitors attended three industrial exhibitions in Damascus over four days, with participating companies signing a number of agreements and memoranda of understanding, organizers said as the events concluded on Saturday.

The exhibitions, held at the New Damascus Fairgrounds under the patronage of the Ministry of Economy and Industry, brought together more than 300 brands representing 13 countries.

Khalaf Meshhadani, director general of Meshhadani International Group for Exhibitions and Conferences, told SANA that the events had produced positive results, including several agreements and memoranda of understanding between participating companies.

He said visitors came from across Syria and several other countries, particularly Jordan, Lebanon and Iraq.

Meshhadani said a number of companies had already decided to return for the next edition, while others planned to expand their exhibition space, reflecting growing business interest in the event.

The four-day program also included a panel discussion by the Europe-Asia-Africa Chamber of Commerce.

The event comprised three specialized exhibitions: the seventh Syria Plast exhibition for plastics industries, the sixth Chem Expo for chemical industries, and the third RAWMEX exhibition for raw materials and production supplies.

The exhibitions, which opened on Aug. 5, brought together local, Arab and international producers, suppliers, investors and industry experts, providing a platform to explore business opportunities and strengthen links between Syrian companies and regional and international markets.
