Emergency Minister appreciates Saudi Arabia for Aid Provided to Latakia Fire Victims

Emergency Minister appreciates Saudi Arabia for Aid Provided to Latakia Fire Victims

Damascus, SANA-Raed al-Saleh, Minister of Emergency and Disaster Management, expressed his gratitude to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia for the support and assistance provided to those affected by the wildfires in Latakia.

“I extend my sincere thanks and appreciation to Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and to the King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center for their prompt response and the aid that has arrived over the past two days to help those affected by the fires in Latakia Governorate,” In a post on his account on the X platform, the minister said.

He added: “This assistance is a genuine message of Arab solidarity that we deeply value. It will contribute to strengthening response efforts and alleviating the suffering of our people in the affected areas.”

The emergency minister affirmed that this support marks an important step toward building a strategic partnership between the King Salman Relief Center and the ministry, enhancing cooperation in emergency response and disaster management in Syria.

The second Saudi relief plane, dispatched by the King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center, arrived on Friday to assist those affected by the fires in Latakia.
