Marrakesh, June 21 (SANA) Arab Parliament Speaker Mohammed bin Ahmad al-Yamahi met Saturday with Guglielmo Picchi, Chairman of Italy’s State Export Credit Agency, to discuss ways to boost economic and investment cooperation between Arab states and Italy.
The Arab Parliament said in a statement that the meeting, held during the 4th Euro-Mediterranean and Gulf Parliamentary Economic Forum in Marrakesh, highlighted the importance of bolstering joint Arab-Italian economic and investment cooperation to help achieve prosperity for both sides.
Al-Yamahi said economic and financial institutions play a vital role in advancing Arab-Italian relations, adding that economic cooperation is central to stability and sustainable development in the region.
The Parliament recalled its earlier call for strengthening international parliamentary cooperation to confront growing cybersecurity threats, stressing that rapid digital transformation has made cybersecurity a pressing necessity to protect individuals, institutions, and critical infrastructure.
