Baghdad, April 8 (SANA) The Iraqi Civil Aviation Authority announced the reopening of the country’s airspace and all airports, allowing the resumption of civil flights after recent closures linked to regional tensions.
In a statement cited by the Iraqi News Agency (INA), the authority said air traffic would resume starting Wednesday as conditions stabilize and return to normal.
It added that all civil flights would operate in line with aviation safety and security standards to ensure smooth and efficient operations.
Iraq had previously imposed temporary closures of its airspace, or parts of it, to safeguard air traffic and protect civilians amid risks stemming from the U.S.-Israeli–Iranian conflict. The restrictions had been extended several times before being lifted.
