Damascus, Feb.10 (SANA) Syrian Minister of Economy and Industry Nidal al-Shaar held talks with the Italian Ambassador in Syria Stefano Ravagnan on prospects for expanding mutual economic cooperation.
The meeting, which was convened on Tuesday at the Ministry’s headquarters, focused on the establishment of a Syrian-Italian Joint Business Council, aimed at boosting trade and investment relations and creating effective channels of communication between the business communities of both countries.
Earlier on Tuesday, minister al-Shaar also held a meeting with the United Nations Resident Coordinator for Development Activities in Syria, Nathalie Fustier, during which they explored ways to strengthen joint cooperation between the Ministry and the United Nations team operating in Syria.
