AMMAN, Feb.2 (SANA) The Syrian-Jordanian economic forum was held in the Jordanian capital on Monday sought to expand direct cooperation between public and private sector stakeholders in both countries, as officials and business representatives pushed to translate political engagement into concrete economic partnerships.
The forum covered trade and investment ties, efforts to accelerate customs and logistics procedures, and opportunities for joint investment and production integration across multiple sectors.
Chambers of commerce from both sides were viewed as key drivers in implementing twinning agreements, forming joint committees and mapping out a future roadmap for cooperation.
Separately, the Amman and Damascus chambers of commerce signed a twinning deal designed to expand institutional cooperation, encourage joint ventures and facilitate the exchange of trade information and business delegations.
Official Jordanian data show bilateral trade expanded 185% in the first 11 months of last year compared with the same period a year earlier.
