Minister of Energy, Mohammed al-Bashir, met with a delegation from the UAE’s Crescent Petroleum to discuss prospects of cooperation and investment opportunities in Syria’s oil sector.

During the meeting, the two sides reviewed potential projects aimed at enhancing production and developing infrastructure, as well as ways to expand partnership fields to support the oil sector and improve its efficiency.

Al-Bashir affirmed the Ministry’s keenness to attract quality investments and provide a suitable environment for companies wishing to operate in Syria.

Crescent Petroleum, headquartered in Sharjah, is the first private company engaged in oil and gas exploration and production in the Middle East. The company has more than 40 years of international experience operating in several countries.
