Damascus, Feb. 1 (SANA) The Director General of the Syrian Investment Authority, Talal al-Hilali, met on Sunday with Jordan’s Ambassador to Damascus, Sufian Salman al-Qudah, to discuss strengthening economic and investment cooperation.
Al-Hilali highlighted Syria’s updated investment framework under Investment Law No. 114 of 2025, which offers investor protections, tax exemptions, and streamlined procedures. He emphasized the country’s promising opportunities across multiple sectors.
Ambassador al-Qudah conveyed Jordan’s commitment, under royal directives, to support cooperation through technical and training assistance. He expressed optimism about Syria’s investment future and praised its recent diplomatic and economic progress, noting that these developments will enhance regional partnerships.
The meeting is part of the Syrian government’s efforts to attract local and foreign investment during its recovery phase as the country is modernizing legislation and improving the business environment, addressing past challenges that hindered investment flows.
