Cairo, Jan. 29 (SANA) The General Company for Cement and Building Materials Industry and Marketing, “Omran,” has signed an agreement with the Egyptian Cisco Cement Company to secure clinker material, the raw form of cement before grinding. The agreement aims to support the supply of cement and further develop the sector to benefit both countries.
General Manager of Omran Company, Mahmoud Fadila, described the agreement as a partnership that reflects the company’s commitment to enhancing industrial cooperation and benefiting from international technical expertise, with the goal of raising production levels and efficiency.
The Omran delegation’s visit to Egypt included meetings with several Egyptian companies experienced in the cement industry, as well as a meeting with the Cairo Chamber of Commerce.
The meeting highlighted the importance of the cement sector and fostered strategic partnerships between the two countries to promote sustainable industrial and commercial cooperation.
It is notable that the cement industry in Syria is considered a strategic sector attracting investment, given the high demand for this material in the reconstruction of infrastructure damaged by the deposed regime.
